Photography Planning

These are the pictures I will be using on my website. I chose to use the top picture because it shows a few teenagers at a party having fun while drinking alcohol. If you can control how much you drink andhow you act, you can have a great time without any problems. The picture down from that is a very effective one as it shows clearly where cannabis affects the body and what harm it does. My aim with this picture is that the target audience will look at it and think to themselves that they don't want that to happen to their body so they won't take drugs and maybe encourage their friends not to either. The one below that is an action shot of the police arresting someone for drug dealing. This should make the target audience stop and think about dealing drugs unless they want to risk being arrested and sent to prison. Th picture below that is a good logo as it signifies turning your life around from drugs. The red signifies when you are caught up in drugs and the white signifies freedom away from drugs. The picture under that shows what cocaine does to your brain which is quite alerting. Hopefully this will stop my target audience getting involved with cocaine. The other three pictures are what cannabis looks like in a plant, a joint and the drug before it is put in a joint. This is to show the audience what it looks like so they can stay away from it if they are offered it.

Target Audience Report

The website I am designing will be aimed at teenagers from age 14 upwards. The target audeience will be both Male's and Female's from all ethnicities and people from any backgrounds. From my research, I have found out that there are a lot of drug awareness campaign websites but there is only one or two that are aimed at younger people. I want to raise awareness from my point of view as I am a teenager and I want to show the dangers of drugs that I can relate to one way or another so the target audience can share my information and hopefully learn from my website so they don't make the same mistakes that people i know have made.

My aim of the website is to show people the dangers and consequences of drugs so that they can see it first instead of them trying drugs themselves as that could be too late for them. My website has lots of information on what the risks and consequences are of carrying and taking drugs. I am hoping that my target audience will look at my website and think to themselves that they don't want to risk their lives with drugs and that sould stop them from getting involved with drugs.

I have chose to use a layout which is relatively conventional but has some unconventional elements to it as i feel that younger people will be more attracted to that because they won't get bored of the layout. I have used a dark background with a vibrant blue colour for the backgrounds of the links with white text. I chose this because it really catches the eye and it's a very appealing colour.

I have used pictures of different drugs along with pictures illustrating the dangers of drugs to your body. My aim from this is that people will be shocked by what drugs can do to you and hopefully will make them think twice about touching drugs. There is a help page which offers links to websites that can help people who are in trouble with drugs and need to talk to people for help and advice.

Internet Research Survey

I asked 15 people to answer this survey. I asked people of all ages and both genders to make sure i get a range of results.

Advertising Agencies

Advertising Agencies

An Advertising Agency is a service provider that works for clients and businesses to create an effective advertising campaign aimed at representing the Company positively to show to the target audience. They are dedicated to creating, planning and handling advertising for its clients. An advertising agency is independent from the client and provides an outside point of view to the effort of selling the client's products or services. An agency can also handle overall marketing and branding strategies and sales promotions for its clients.

Typical ad agency clients include businesses and corporations, non-profit organizations, charity’s and government agencies.

Advertising agencies generally have three stages within their roles:

1 - Understand the Product / Company: An advertising agency begins by getting well acquainted with the client's goals, products & target audience. This knowledge proves beneficial in planning and creating an effective advertising campaign

2 - Plan & Create an Advertising Campaign: Once an advertising agency understands its clients' needs, the process of brainstorming and planning begins. Once the agency knows the client’s goals; (which could range from:

· pushing sales of its products and services

· introducing new products in the market

· attracting new customers or keeping in touch with old ones)

the advertising executives work towards creating an effective advertising campaign which is within the client's marketing goals and budget.

3 - Strategize: Some Companies like to outsource their overall marketing responsibilities to advertising agencies. In such a case, the ad agency takes over the process of brand building, strategizing and pushing sales through other promotion techniques like sales promotions.

Domain Name

Domain Name

A domain name is an identification label that defines a realm of administrative autonomy, authority, or control in the Internet, based on the Domain Name System (DNS).The top-level domains (TLDs) are the highest level of domain names of the Internet. They form the DNS root zone of the hierarchical Domain Name System. Every domain name ends in a top-level or first-level domain label.Below the top-level domains in the domain name hierarchy are the second-level domain (SLD) names. These are the names directly to the left of .com, .net, and the other top-level domainsNext are third-level domains, which are written immediately to the left of a second-level domain. There can be fourth- and fifth-level domains, and so on, with virtually no limitation. To date, and according to Guinness World Records and MSNBC, the most expensive domain name sales on record as of 2004 were:

• Business.com for $7.5 million in December 1999
